Investigations on the Temperature Regions of Earth Dams Under Permafrost Conditions,

Abstract

The article presents a brief report on the investigation of the two-dimensional problem of the steady and unsteady temperature field of earthen dams based on permafrost soils, both with and without seepage. The result of the study was the identification of certain characteristics of these dams which must be taken into account in their construction, and techniques for making the thermal computations are worked out.
