Characterization of Surface and Grain Boundary Layer of Barium Titanate.

Abstract

The object of this investigation was to characterize the surface layer of ceramic particles and the grain boundary layer of ceramic materials by a few selected electrical and optical experiments, observe their unusual changes, if any, and infer from them or predict for their potential applicability in electronic and electroceramic fields. Barium titanate, which is one of the basic electro-ceramic materials, was chosen as typical for characterization. (Author)
