Theoretical Seismology.

Abstract

The principal themes investigated in the report were: Development of techniques for computation of theoretical seismograms; The determination of hidden periodicities in seismic records; Recomputation of seismic travel times; The inversion of seismic data; The smoothing of seismological travel-time tables; Development of numerical methods for the processing of seismic data; The Zoeppritz amplitude equations and reflection and refraction coefficients; and Theoretical amplitude coefficients for seismic phases.
