Optical Properties of Real Metallic Films and Microtheory (Opticheskie Svoistva Realnykh Metallicheskikh Pokrytii i Mikroteorii),

Abstract

The optical properties of real metallic films are characterized and simulated by their energetic coefficients of reflection, transparency and absorption, as well as by phase shifts during reflection and passage of light through the films. The experimental data are used as the foundation of a presentation that permits examination of the effective constants of a film and, in connection with these, microtheories that have been advanced to explain the optical properties of real metallic films.
