The Solvent Extraction Behavior of Inorganic Complexes.

Abstract

The report summaries research undertaken to better understand the solvent extraction of inorganic, ionic substances. The authors studied the distribution of FeC14(-) between aqueous HCl and THACl in benzene-nitrobenzene mixtures. The expected change in Delta G(tr) with changing dielectric constant of the organic phase was calculated using Irvine's equations.
