Neurotropic Effects in Relation to Chemical Structure.
Abstract
Attempts to prepare both the endo and exo isomers of 1,4-dihydro-9, 10-dimethyl-1,4-ethanonaphtalene-2,3-dicarboxylic anhydride at temperatures above 100 are presented. The completion of the synthesis and a continuation of the biological evaluation of substituted 11-aminomethyl-9, 10-ethano-9, 10-dihydroanthracene is also reported. The synthesis of aminoesters and aminoamides of 9,10-ethano-9, 10-dihydroanthracene-11-carboxylic acids is described. (Author)
