Neurotropic Effects in Relation to Chemical Structure.
Abstract
In the period covered by this report the preparation of a series of 11-(gamma-aminopropyl)-9,10-ethano-9,10-dihydroanthracene derivatives are described. The synthesis of a variety of (alkoxy)-9,10-ethano-9,10-dihydroanthracenes derivatives and secondary 11-(beta-aminoethyl)-9,10-ethano-9,10-dihydroanthracenes is also reported. Attempts to resolve selected derivatives of 11-(aminomethyl)-9,10-ethano-9,10-dihydroanthracene into their dextro and levo forms were made. (Author)
