Neural Organization of Sensory Information for Taste.

Abstract

Impulse discharges in single chorda tympani fibers of rats, hamsters and monkeys in response to stimulation of the tongue with various chemicals were recorded, and detailed statistical analyses were made for investigating the neural mechanism of taste for various chemicals. (Author)
