Constitutive Equations for Polymer Solutions Derived from the Bead/Spring Model of Rouse and Zimm.

Abstract

Constitutive equations are derived for the Rouse/Zimm model without restriction on the number of springs per molecule or on the strength of bead-bread hydrodynamic interaction. The equations are of the same form as the constitutive equations for a network model, but the memory function is determined to within three arbitrary constants. (Author)
