Abstract

The precise asymptotic order (for n approaches infinity) of the error near a chosen point x sub * in the approximation of a function f sub * epsilon H sub L(I) by its L-spline interpolant f sub n at n points in I is determined. L is a differential operator of order m > or = 1. (Author)
