Comparison of Mechanical and Acoustic Properties for Selected Nonferrous, Ferrous, and Plastic Materials

Abstract

Mechanical and acoustic properties have been tabulated for 356 nonferrous,173 ferrous, and 67 plastic materials. These properties include density,Young's modulus of elasticity, ultimate tensile strength, strength-to- densityratio, elastic sound speed, and acoustic impedance. The tabulation was accomplished by means of a computer program. (Author, modified-PL)
