Unstable Optical Resonators for High-Power Laser Applications.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop, by analytic and computational methods, more detailed information concerning the mode patterns and mode losses of unstable optical resonators. These resonators appear to be particularly suitable for selected high-power laser oscillators; and the specific examples to be analyzed under this project will be relevant to existing or proposed high power laser experiments.
