Abstract

The report describes the environment and character of the Arctic Basin and its near-shore areas as well as those of the North Atlantic and North Pacific and their shores. The description is directed to the marine environment and to operations in that sphere. The work was conducted by The Arctic Institute of North America to support the analyses of Naval Surface Ship Arctic Missions. (Author)
