Kinetic Theory and Gas Surface Interactions: An Interesting Interface.

Abstract

The report summarizes work done in the field of rarefied gas dynamics. The main emphasis was on an aspect which is beginning to receive much more attention than in the past, i.e. the mutual relationships between the fields of gas surface interactions and kinetic theory. The recent work done in this area is reviewed and possible developments are pointed out. (Author)
