Interpretation of Density-Gauge Data for Supersonic Gas Flow,

Abstract

When a collisionless neutral gas rams supersonically into an ionization gauge of conventional design, the density inside the gauge exceeds that in the ambient. The gauge is assumed to be separated from the ambient by a partially accessible cylindrical chamber of length L radius r. (Author)
