On the Theory of Low-Energy Encounters Between Atomic Systems,
Abstract
The theory of fine structure transitions in atom-atom collisions, developed by Allison and Burke, is generalized to allow the wave functions of the colliding systems to be described by linear superpositions of electronic configurations employing distinct orbitals where necessary. (Author)
