On Approximate Input Signal Synthesis in Plant Parameter Identification,

Abstract

The paper discusses a method to generate a sequence of input signals which approximately minimizes a given measure of error in identifying unknown parameters in dynamic systems governed by a difference equation. For the sake of brevity, the following discussions are on a scalar system. The method can be applied to systems described by vector difference equations. (Author)
