Abstract

The book deals with the stability of various structural elements, such as bars, plates, shells, beams and frame works of different shapes and designs. It outlines certain problems of hydroelasticity, and aeroelasticity. Criteria of dynamic stability, of initial imperfection, excentric compression, dynamic programming and uses of analog computers are discussed. (Author)
