Counting Accelerometers (An Error Analysis)

Abstract

Counting accelerometers are used on F/RF-4 aircraft as a part of the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program. The device counts and records the number of times four acceleration levels have been exceeded. The data are used with a fatigue analysis to determine fatigue damage on individual aircraft. The report presents the results of an error analysis of the counting accelerometer data and the fatigue analysis.
