Statistical Investigation of Three Storage Allocation Algorithms.

Abstract

Three dynamic storage allocation algorithms are compared by Monte Carlo simulation. Of the three, a new one (called segregated storage) is seen to be preferable to the others (the buddy system and the first fit method) in a variety of situations. (Author)
