Viscoelastic Wave Propagation in Unidirectional Composites.

Abstract

Functions describing the dilatational wave and the distortional wave in boththe reinforcement and the matrix have been assumed. These functions, and theassociated stresses and displacements, automatically satisfy the symmetryconditions and four of the six boundary conditions. By means of these functions, the six dispersion equations are reduced to two transcendental equations, describing the boundary conditions at the interfaces. (Author-PL)
