Nutrient Analysis of Aerospace Foods.
Abstract
Concentrations of energy, fat, nitrogen, chloride, and the cations of 14 different metallic elements were measured in 219 samples of 74 space food items. Although the compiled data do not permit calculation of 'standard values,' this tabulation will be a useful reference for those interested in the nutritive quality of state-of-the-art, space-type food items.
