Marine Thrust Bearing,

Abstract

The marine support bearing consisting of a set of radial-support ball bearings mounted in a housing with end caps with seals is distinguished by the fact that in order to reduce weight and dimensions of the bearing and to increase the cooling surface the bearing housing is made with annular grooves for supply of oil to the ball bearings, which are located at the junction of two detachable rings of ball bearings; the housing also has an annular sleeve space for the passage of coolant.
