Radar Probing of the Troposphere Under Clear Sky Conditions (Nekotorye Voprosy Radiolokatsio-nnogo Zondirovaniya Troposfery pri Yasnom Nebe),

Abstract

At the present time, several types of radar reflections in the cm range in the absence of hydrometeors are well known. These include the following: (1) a discrete - coherent radioecho; (2) reflection from inversion layers; (3) reflection from layers with aerosol; reflection from zones of turbulence. This article considers a series of questions concerning the sources of reflections of each type and the peculiarities of the appearance of such signals. (Author)
