Fluorescent Yield Measurements.
Abstract
K-fluorescent yields were measured for the elements Mg (12), Al (13), Cl (17), Sc (21), Fe (26), Zn (30), Se (34), Zr (40), and Sn (50). The values are in good agreement with the values of Bailey and Swedlund for elements 13 through 26. The four high Z measurements smoothly join the values of Bailey and Swedlund to the high Z values of Fink, Mark, Jopson, and Swift. A semi-empirical formula is given that fits the data with an RMS deviation of 1.9 percent. (Author)
