Effect of the Nonuniform Distribution of Heat Flow Along a Tube on the Heat Transfer Crisis,

Abstract

The effect of a nonuniform distribution of heat flow along a tube (step qmax/qmin = 2.57) on the heat transfer crisis was investigated for a pressure of 686.7 to 1765 n/cm squared; mass velocities of (3.6 to 10) x 10 to the power of 6 kg/m squared . hr raised tubes to 1.2 m. It is shown that for a certain combination of parameters the value of the total power and q sub cr may strongly depend on the law of heat release. Table of the experimental data are given.
