Abstract
The report contains design recommendations for an improved work station for the Landing Signal Officer (LSO). It includes: A discussion of the deficiencies in present LSO displays, equipments and communication systems. A detailed description of LSO information requirements including the manner in which this information is used by LSOs to control aircraft recoveries. A description of LSO display and equipment requirements, and information sources. A description and functional drawings of the general configuration of the proposed work station, and of the individual displays and equipment. (Author)
