Structure of Fluorine Supported Flames. I. Method of Investigation. The Dichloro-D fluoromethane- fluorine Flame.

Abstract

The stoichiometric dichlorodifluoromethane-fluorine combustion reaction has been studied in a low pressure flame at 77 mm Hg. Concentration profiles across the reaction zone of the flame have been measured by a molecular beam sampling technique on a time-of-flight mass spectrometer. The reaction mechanism is proposed.
