Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Evidence for Bridge Hydrogen Tautomerization (and/or Exchange) in Monocarbahexaborane(7).

Abstract

Temperature studies on monocarbahexaborane(7) show that the two high field doublets in the boron-11 n.m.r. taken at +30C collapse into a single doublet at 100C. Possible mechanisms are proposed to account for this observation but all involve migration of the single bridge hydrogen. (Author)
