Hydrodynamic Theory of General Atmospheric Circulation and Numerical Experiments,

Abstract

A survey is made of studies on hydrodynamic theory of climate and the general circulation of the atmosphere. The most significant simplifications and limitations introduced into the solution of this problem are discussed. Emphasis is given to the important role of the numberical experiments as a method of studying the macro-atmospheric processes. A series of questions that require further investigation is formulated.
