Combatting Additive Losses in Automotive Fine--Cleaning Oil Filters,

Abstract

The article presents the results of studies of new filtering materials. Various paper and synthetic fabrics were studied from the point of view of removal of umpurities from the oil, specific throughput of the filter, and filter lifetime. Besides the TsNIDI specimens, for comparison tests were made of the cardboard element of the 'Regotmas' FCOF, a metallic (nickel) gauze with pore size 0.1 x 0.1 mm, and cotton fabric which, according to literature data, is a weak absorber of surfactants.
