Platelet Contamination of Erythrocyte Membrane Preparations.

Abstract

The platelet content of washed red cells may be controlled by the method of washing. Most stroma preparations contain about 1% of the total platelet content of the whole blood, regardless of the washing procedure used during preparation. This low level contamination should not contribute to the activity of enzymes or proteins being examined in stroma preparations. (Author)
