Ferrite Cores for Magnetic Heads with an Increased Resistance to Wear,

Abstract

The results of experimental work on the manufacture of nickel-zinc ferrite cores for video heads and data on the testing of protective glass coverings for increasing the head service life are introduced. For cores of various magnetic heads operating up to 10 MHz, nickel-zinc ferrites with the required electromagnetic parameters are proposed. Judgements on the structure of ferrites appropriate for the manufacture of magnetic heads have been presented. Encouraging results on the use of protective glass coatings for increasing the service life of video heads have been obtained. Henceforth, works in this direction will be presented. (Author)
