Initial Evaluation of Revised Helium-Oxygen Decompression Tables.

Abstract

Fifty-four man dives were undertaken to evaluate three representative tables from a revised set of HeO2 schedules. These tables were calculated using the classical Haldane method and used the set of 'M' values derived by Workman in 1965 as limits. A 33% incidence of decompression sickness occurred using surface decompression procedures. It was subsequently recommended that further testing of the schedules was unwarranted at this time. Further evaluation of the 'M' values was recommended. (Author)
