A Note on Feedback Queues With Bulk Service,

Abstract

The paper provides some extensions of recent work by Delbrouck, which was published in the Journal of the ACM and dealt with a queuing model of a feedback system with queue-dependent service times. The emphasis of this present work is upon necessary and sufficient conditions for ergodicity, the relationship of the imbedded and general-time queuing processes, and the relaxation of the extent of state-dependence of the service times. Previous works on related problems by Pakes, Harris, and Fabens are drawn upon where necessary. (Author)
