Aromatic Imide-Quinoxaline Copolymers,
Abstract
Four new imide-quinoxaline copolymers were prepared by a one step condensation reaction between aromatic bid(o-diamines) and N,N'- bis(4-binzilyl)-3,3',4,4'- benzophenonetetracarboxyli-mide. Polymer decomposition temperatures lie between 490- 530 C, and all polymers are soluble in a number of different solvents. Strong fibers and films have been made form m-cresol solutions. (Author-PL)
