The Refugee Situation in Kien-Giang Province.
Abstract
The report presents the principal findings of a field study of the refugee situation in Kien-Giang Province, Republic of Viet-Nam. Some general survey data were collected on the refugee situation in the seven districts of Kien-Giang, but the bulk was drawn from an intensive study of two refugee settlement sites in the districts of Kien Binh and Kien Thanh respectively. Comparisons with data from other provinces indicate that Kien-Giang, with minor variations, fits the patterns previously noted for the Mekong delta but differs markedly at points from those noted for the I Corps area to the north.
