A Problem in Development of the National Economy (Odin iz Voprososov Razvitiya Narodnogo Khozyaistva),

Abstract

The article criticizes the manner by which freight is shipped in the Soviet Union and calls for a planned and concerted effort to implement the ideas of container shipping. The financial gains to be realized by container shipping are included. A special discussion of standardization of container parameters and increased container and pallet construction is given.
