The Economic Effectiveness of Heating Engines by Various Means (Ekonomicheskaya Effektivnost Podogreva Dvigatelei Razlinchnymi Sposobami),

Abstract

Different methods are considered for heating vehicle engines during winter. The methods discussed include infrared gas burners, warm air, gas burners, and electric heating elements. The experiments show that heating vehicle engines with low-voltage electric heating elements is the most efficient and economical method. This method also eliminates the necessity for a duty operator or driver to regulate the heating of the engines. (Author)
