Investigation of Deformation in Shock Loading of Zinc Monocrystals (Issledovanie Osobennostei Deformirovaniya pri Udarnom Nagruzhenni na Monokristallakh Chinka),

Abstract

Anisotropy of zinc monocrystals is used for obtaining information concerning the stress state during stressing of crystalline bodies by means of place shock waves. It is shown that plastic deformation occurs both in the compression wave and during relief. The effect of anisotropy of elastic moduli increases as the pressure in the shock waves increases. A theory is advanced concerning sequential activation of displacements in various systems during deformation. (Author)
