The BRLESC II Instruction Code
Abstract
BRLESC II is a large, high speed, electronic computer that is now in operation at ARDC. It was built to supplement the BRLESC I computer which has been operating since 1960. The report is intended to aid programmers in writing assembly language programs for applications which cannot be done using the FORTRAN language and, in some cases, to aid in determining the cause when FORTRAN programs fail to execute as expected by the programmer. A description of each of the 115 executable instructions is given from a programming point of view. That is, a description is given of what is done, not how it is done.
