Considerations for Non-Linear Microwave Breakdown and Propagation,

Abstract

Approximations have been considered which lead to a simplified model for non-linear microwave breakdown. Using the simplified model the author has then analytically considered the propagation of a high power plane wave into a steady state (partial derivative of n with respect to t = 0) gaseous half-space. The author also presented numerical results for the non-steady state case (partial derivative of n with respect to t is not = 0). (Author)
