Adjustment of Optical Devices,

Abstract

The book is dedicated to an examination of various kinds of errors which appear in the process of assembly of various optical instruments and the means of elimination of these errors. For the purpose of generalization and systematization of the material the first part of the book presents different geometrical diagrams of optical instruments; the second and third parts are dedicated to general questions from the theory of optical instruments and to effect of prisms and mirrors; the fourth and last part considers the adjustment of separate characteristic elements of optical systems and the assembly and adjustment of most important optical instruments on the whole. Furthermore, the basis of calculation of allowances for separate optical parts are given. (Author)
