Global Photography of the Earth and Possibilities for Interpreting its Data,

Abstract

The global photographs obtained from high-orbiting satellites Molniya, ATS, and spaceships Zond and Apollo represent super-small-scale space photographs or televised images of the Earth. Methods of using them for obtaining both global and area information on the natural complexes of the Earth's surface - the geographical zones and topography - are discussed. (Author)
