Snow Avalanches on the Novokuznetsk-Tashtagol Railway,

Abstract

Based on analysis of project-surveying materials, data of the line section, and on-site observations, geomorphological and climatic factors affecting formation of avalanche conditions of this region are characterized. The article presents data on the number and volumes of avalanches affording estimation of the avalanche hazard in developing avalanche protective measures along the line. (Author)
