Aerodynamics and Snow-Restraining Capability of Snow Ridges, Snow Walls, and Trenches,

Abstract

The document states that up to the present time there have been no theoretical developments on problems involved in erecting snow-protective structures made of snow along highways and railways and finding their optimal parameters. It presents a theoretical study of aerodynamic properties of snow-protective structures made of snow. Derived formulas afford calculations for practical purposes. (Author)
