Routing and Designing of Railroad Plan View in Deserts and Semideserts,
Abstract
The article examines basic factors affecting choice of line routing and presents materials of experimental laboratory studies of the velocity field of the air flow streaming past forms of sand relief in a wind tunnel. Based on study findings, requirements placed on routing and designing of railroad plan view are set forth. (Author)
