Measurement of Deep Currents (Izmerenie Glubinnykh Techenii),

Abstract

The article discusses the principles and methods of measuring deep currents by several instruments without anchoring the ship. A number of instruments discussed are new and not known to wide circles of oceanographers (bathypitometer, buoy having a zero buoyancy, parachute drogue). Recommendations are given as to the original use of electromagnetic current meters and a deep sea current meter with electronic device for measuring deep currents. (Author)
