Abstract

During the third year, Project Themis activities at Texas A and M University have been concentrated in six primary research areas: cumulus cloud dynamics, analog modeling of the frictional boundary layer, design of a facility for direct measurement of Reynolds stresses, modification of cloud systems associated with easterly perturbations as they move over areas of differing water temperatures, mesoscale analyses based on radar and micrometeorological measurements, and mesoscale air-sea interaction.
