Residual Stresses in Cold Bent Circular Ring Frame Segments of T Cross Section,
Abstract
The residual stress distribution is derived for cold bent circular ring frames of T cross section. A computer program is described which calculates this stress distribution for the most common cases occurring in practice. It is deduced that tension beyond yield can be reached in the flange.
